Advanzia's Corporate Social Responsibility

Committed to success:
Advanzia's corporate
social responsibility

As a financial institution that is constantly expanding within Europe, we are aware that our corporate social responsibility is also evolving. Our economic success enables us to initiate and support an array of initiatives and socially impacting projects both within the company and beyond.

Many of Advanzia’s projects are initiated and implemented by employees of the company. The “Advanzia Plus” committee, which is comprised of members from all departments of the company, meets regularly to discuss CSR initiatives and internal improvement suggestions.

If we choose to support a particular project, we ensure that it follows our four CSR principles.

  • Corporate Governance. We are committed to transparency towards our stakeholders about our compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements as well as ethical standards.
  • Health and Safety. We provide a safe and comfortable working environment for our employees and actively support initiatives that contribute to our employees’ health and wellbeing.
  • Environmental Protection. We respect the environment by implementing green projects internally, and by supporting community projects that help protect and nurture the environment and support animal welfare.
  • Community Impact. We collaborate with, and offer financial support to local and international initiatives that promote culture, education, health, arts and sports.

Employee payroll giving

Payroll Giving at Advanzia

Together with Unity Foundation, Advanzia has introduced payroll giving for its employees. The donations are fully voluntary for employees who decide to opt in on rounding off their salaries and having the small donation transferred automatically with each monthly salary payment.

Unity Foundation is a Luxembourgish non-profit organisation committed to empowering communities through education within a network of international development agencies.

Training for guide dogs

Since 2016, we have been supporting the Luxembourg-based organisation, ASA asbl, which trains guide dogs for people with physical or mental disabilities. We do this by collecting bottle caps – an initiative supported by several other companies in Luxembourg. We also sponsor puppies that become guide dogs for a person with disabilities. Featured on the photo is Poppie, the Advanzia-sponsored guide dog in training.

Waste management

We work with the ‘SuperDrecksKëscht’ in Luxembourg, an initiative created by the Luxembourgish government in 1985, aimed at reducing waste. In addition to the recycling of reusable materials, our involvement extends to providing regular waste management training for employees. For these initiatives, we have been granted their “company label”.
