Roland Ludwig (42, Swiss citizen) was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Advanzia Bank S.A. as of July 1st, 2017. He succeeds Marc Hentgen, who has managed the bank successfully since 2007 and who will leave the bank at his own request at the end of the year.
Prior to joining Advanzia Bank, Roland Ludwig worked in various management positions in the financial services sector in Switzerland and Venezuela. Most recently, he held the position of CEO of Cetrel S.A. in Luxembourg (today: SIX Payment Services (Europe) S.A.), which he transformed into a central hub for the European issuing and acquiring business of SIX Payment Services.

Roland Ludwig is a graduate of the University of St. Gallen (lic.oec. HSG) and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is also CFA charterholder and has successfully completed executive management programs at INSEAD and Wharton.
