Advanzia Bank is on track for growth

Advanzia Bank S.A. in Luxembourg, which specialises in the issuing of credit cards, increased its profit by 28% to EUR 35.6 million in the last fiscal year (2015).

The net credit volume increased by 21% to EUR 733 million, and the number of credit card customers rose by 17% in the same period to 833,000. The capital ratio (tier 1 including result from 2015 fiscal year) was 15% with a balance sheet total of EUR 906 million.

Alongside existing markets in Germany, Luxembourg and France, Advanzia Bank also entered the Austrian market in 2015. 

Services to partner banks (Professional Card Services or PCS), whereby Advanzia Bank provides comprehensive services to credit card divisions of financial institutions, were further expanded having been launched in 2014. This is another area where Advanzia Bank can apply its high degree of flexibility to meet its banking partners’ needs.

“2015 was an extremely successful year overall for Advanzia Bank,” says CEO Marc Hentgen. His focus for this year is on further expansion of core markets. This is also reflected in the rising number of employees, which increased during the reporting period from 86 to 110.

By creating new growth potential while tracking the performance of its existing segments, Advanzia Bank is confident of repeating its past successes in 2016.
